Gaza & the Palestinians
|
In Aug 2005, Israel left behind an infrastructure upon which Gazans might have built a nation. Instead, in free & fair elections, they overwhelmingly chose to be led by a terrorist organization, dedicated to destroying a neighboring country. Hamas attacks Israeli civilians, as it routinely uses Palestinians as human shields, maximizing casualties by siting rocket launchers, weapons stores & booby traps in and around their businesses, homes, schools, and mosques. All this is politically & theologically justified. Israel has the right & responsibility to defend its people. It must make reasonable efforts to minimize Palestinian casualties, but Hamas & the Palestinians themselves are ultimately responsible for the "martyrdom" they have engineered. |
